History

First Bike Kulture was a project launched jointly by photographer Christophe Margot, graphic designer Alex Moret and editor Amaël Donnet. Shortly after the Y2K bug, the desire was to go against the grain of that time magazines. This trio wanted to highlight the culture of cycling, in general, without limiting itself to one practice and to combine this vision of bicycling with a layout that was both modern and neat.
This idea quickly attracted a publisher, but with a particular request: Bike Kulture had to be transformed into a free newspaper distributed in bicycle stores as well as in tourist offices. Without asking any questions, Christophe, Alex and Amaël threw themselves fully into this project.
The first topics were devoted to cycling in Zurich, to street BMX in New York, to a mountain bike trip in Lebanon. Subsequently, portraits of riders, freeride sessions in the Portes du Soleil and mountain bike adventures with Wade Simmons, Andrew Shandro and many other epic characters brightened the pages of Bike Kulture. Then suddenly, the story is stopped due to the publisher’s filing for bankruptcy. With the support of Nicolas Masse, the original concept comes to life on the Web. Some years later, very busy with personal professional projects, Bike Kulture is put in pause mode.
But like the Phoenix, Bike Kulture does not die! The adventure comes back in a new form: we share our professional experience in the world of bicycling, whether at the level of the media, the industry, the development of equipment or in the monitoring of athletes, through an association of consultants perfectly complementary in their respective profiles.
